​HyperFit Kickboxing Club has cutting-edge workouts and a diverse set of classes that will keep you coming back again and again! We pride ourselves on safe, high-quality training that improves total-body performance, energy, and confidence. And for over 20 years, we've helped countless people in Northern VA turn their fitness ambitions into reality. 

Hybrid Method Gym is home to the Legendary Karate program, formerly David Oakley's World Champion Karate & Kickboxing. Our training is based on the American Karate system laid out by martial arts legend J. Pat Burleson, who was the first official kickboxing national champion in 1964 and one of the great pioneers who helped spread Eastern Asian martial arts throughout the United States. David Oakley received his black belt directly from Master Burleson in Texas in 1982.

American Karate is considered to be one of the original forms of mixed martial arts. Our curriculum now incorporates aspects of Shotokan, Kenpo, sport boxing/kickboxing, Wado-Ryu, Judo, Aikido, grappling, Tae Kwon Do and Jeet Kune Do. We continue to embrace many values of the traditional arts, but practice modern technique, fighting arts, and self-defense tactics.

Over the years, we have kept our training methods safe and focused on individual improvement. Our instructors help guide our members to their maximum potential and pursue their personal interests, such as self-defense, physical fitness, sport competition, etc. But above all, we preach a constant sense of respect, humility, and leadership, which carries over into everyday life and contributes to individual success.
